West Chester Women's Tennis Falls To Cal, 9-0

CALIFORNIA, Pa. - West Chester University's women's tennis squad dropped a 9-0 verdict on the road at nationally ranked California (Pa.), 9-0, on a beautiful sunny Friday afternoon in the western part of the commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

The loss snaps a modest two-game win streak to open up the 2010-11 campaign. Cal swept the doubles competition by scores of 8-3, 8-1, 8-0, respectively. The Vulcans than took all six singles matches in straight sets. 

Claire Afrassiabian dropped the closest match of the day, 6-2, 6-3 at No. 3 singles.
