MILLERSVILLE, Pa. - West Chester University's women's volleyball squad won three straight sets, after dropping the opening set, to rally for a 3-1 win over host Millersville University inside Pucillo Gym Saturday afternoon.
West Chester (17-11, 6-8 PSAC East) rebounded from a loss to Shippensburg on Friday night to split its weekend conference tilts. The Rams claimed the match by scores of 15-25, 25-23, 25-22, 26-24. It was a very closely contested match the entire four sets.
The Golden Rams hit .206 for the match. Julie Boblits recorded 16 kills while Lexi Kegerise had 13. Kelly Martin, Cara Reese and Helen Fitzpatrick each had seven kills. Fitzpatrick had 30 assists and 11 digs to go with her seven kills. She nearly pulled off a triple-double for the Golden Rams.
Dana Markol registered 17 digs, and Tyler Sheafer had 10 as well.
West Chester will travel to Georgian Court during the week for its next volleyball match.
