PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - Melissa McKeary scored 56 seconds into the match and visiting West Chester made it stand up as the Golden Rams went on to a 1-0 victory over host Philadelphia University in a non-league women's soccer match.
West Chester (14-2-4) used the game as a tune-up for Saturday's regular-season finale as the Golden Rams get ready for the playoffs once again. Philadelphia University drops to 14-2-2 with the loss.
Shannon Fedyk made saves in goal for West Chester as the Rams put forth another stellar defensive effort.
The Golden Rams will be back in action again on Saturday afternoon for Senior Day on South Campus. Game time is set for 12 p.m. against Millersville with the men's game set to go right after.
