Five Things to Know
  1. West Chester had a well-deserved bye on Saturday following a dominant 4-0 win over Millersville on Wednesday night. West Chester scored all four of its goals in the first half as Kianna Barber (Browns Mills, N.J./BCIT) struck twice in the first 19 minutes of the match before Brielle Zink (Islip, N.Y./Islip) added a 28th-minute goal ahead of a 40th-minute tally by Lauren Reimold (Chester Springs, Pa./Downingtown East). Grace Keen (Lincoln University, Pa./Avon Grove) made three saves in the victory to stymie the high-powered Marauder offense led by Aubrey Strohecker, who had entered play leading Division II in goals.
  2. Jordan Nguyen (Lancaster, Pa./Manheim Central) and Barber remain first and second on the team in scoring with 15 and 14 points, respectively. Nguyen has a team-best seven goals and an assist, while Barber has four goals and a team-high six assists. Adriana Ryder (Hamilton, N.J./Steinert) is second in assists with five and scored the game-winning goal in both games against Bloomsburg, ranking third on the team in scoring with nine points. In goal, Keen is 9-1-1 with a 0.41 goals-against average, 33 saves, and a hand in six shutouts in 11 starts.
  3. West Chester will keep a close eye on things in Georgia this week as manager Bella Stankunas and her Team USA teammates begin play on Thursday in the opening games of the International Federation of Cerebral Palsy Football World Cup outside of Atlanta. Read more about the Tournament and Bella here.
  4. Led by WCU alum and three-year letterwinner Tayler Jamison, East Stroudsburg enters play on Wednesday following a win over Mansfield on Saturday, which improved the Warriors to 5-5-2 overall and 3-5-2 in league play and halted a three-match winless streak. Kali O'Connell leads ESU in scoring with three goals and an assist for seven points, while Sydney Hornberger and Sophia Lowery have each scored two goals. In goal, Ava Perrone is 4-5-2 with a 1.13 goals-against average and a hand in three shutouts, including a 1-0 shutout victory over Mansfield on the road on Saturday.
  5. West Chester is 37-14-6 all-time against East Stroudsburg after winning each of the last four matchups, including a 1-0 win inside Eiler-Martin Stadium earlier this season after an Abigail Hanemann (Point Pleasant Beach, N.J./Point Pleasant Boro) goal in the 51st minute.
BONUS!
  1. The NCAA released its first NCAA Power Index (NPI) rankings of the fall on Monday morning, and they were also the first NCAA Division II NPI rankings as Division II moves to an NPI model for the first time in 2026-27. West Chester was ranked second in the Atlantic Region in the first rankings and 10th in Division II women's soccer with an NPI of 59.880, trailing only Fairmont State (11-0-2) and its 61.292 NPI. NPI updates will be released on Mondays throughout the remainder of the fall, and in the final week of the regular season (the week of 10/26), an update will be posted daily.
