Top-Ranked Bloomsburg Defeats No. 3 West Chester, 8-1

BLOOMSBURG, Pa.
- Top-ranked Bloomsburg scored six goals in the second half en route to an 8-1 victory over No. 3 West Chester on a sunny and warm Saturday afternoon. The Huskies swept the regular season series with its win Saturday.

West Chester (9-3, 4-2 PSAC East) trailed just 2-0 through 35 minutes. However, Bloomsburg (12-0, 5-0) tallied three more times in the first 10 minutes of the second half to break things open. Kayla Gluchowski finally put the Golden Rams on the board in the 46th minute, but it was too late for the visitors.

The Huskies scored three more times before the final whistle blew, keeping the Rams off the board all the while.

Kristin Arnold (9-3) played the first 60 minutes in goal. She made five saves and yielded five goals. Gabby Panasiewicz played out the final 10 minutes, allowing three goals and making one save.

Amanda Riley, Brooke Simonovich and Jenna DiSabatino each scored twice for Bloomsburg, who solidified its spot atop the PSAC Eastern Division standings with the convincing win.

West Chester hosts C.W. Post on Oct. 11 at Vonnie Gros Field in its next contest.
