COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – Alli Aquila won the all-around, but host Ursinus came away with a narrow 183.050-182.225 victory over visiting West Chester University Sunday afternoon.
West Chester (5-8) dropped its second match of the year to Ursinus, after defeating the Bears in the first meet of the season.
Aquila scored a 37.075 to take the all-around competition. She won the uneven bars with a score of 9.425 and placed second in the vault with a 9.425 as well. Aquila also placed fourth in the floor exercise. Aquila’s score on the bars helped West Chester top Ursinus in that event. The Bears won the other three events.
Erin Simon turned in a very strong performance on the floor with a 9.375. She finished second overall for the Golden Rams.
Kaley LaFleur finished third in the all-around with a score of 36.225. She finished fourth on the bars and scored a 9.300 on the vault.
West Chester will be back in action on Feb. 19 when the Golden Rams travel to Rhode Island College in Warwick, R.I.
