Women's Tennis Falls To Mercyhurst, 7-2

ERIE, Pa. - Mercyhurst College topped visiting West Chester, 7-2, in a women's tennis match late Saturday night.

West Chester (6-7) picked up a pair of wins in the singles competition at second and fourth singles. However, Mercyhurst swept the doubles and took four of the six singles to win the match.

Luisi Souto was a winner at second singles, 6-3, 3-6, 10-1 in a tie-breaker set. Claire Afrassiabian won at fourth singles, 7-6 (4), 6-3.

West Chester will be back in action Sunday morning against Edinboro.
