Box Score

PHILADELPHIA, Pa.
- West Chester University jumped out to an early lead after three innings and never looked back as the Golden Rams topped host Philadelphia University, 9-1, in a non-league baseball game at Alumni Field Friday afternoon.

West Chester (21-20) picked up its second win in as many days with the victory. Philadelphia University fell to 4-30 on the year.

John Barr (3-1) went the distance, scattering eight hits over nine innings and allowing just one run in the seventh. Jeff Bohus (0-5) suffered the loss for Philadelphia University.

Chris Pula went 3-for-4 with three RBI, including a two-run homer in the third. Mike Raimo, Reid Pulford and Brandon Wolfe each had a pair of hits as well. Raimo also knocked in a pair of runs from his spot in the leadoff position.

West Chester concludes its regular season with the win over Philadelphia University unless its two games to be made up against Mansfield matter in the league standings.

Kutztown split with Bloomsburg Friday and East Stroudsburg was swept by Millersville, meaning the West Chester's slim hopes of a playoff spot are still alive. However, the best the Rams can finish is fourth.
