Box Score
NORRISTOWN, Pa. - West Chester scored three runs in the top of the first inning and then added single tallies in the sixth and seventh en route to a 5-1 non-league win over host Chestnut Hill at Latchshaw Field Monday evening.
The game was delayed on three different occasions for a grand total of one hour due to technical difficulties with the lights at Latchshaw Field. West Chester (14-14) swept the regular-season, home-and-home series with Chestnut Hill (8-13), following a 5-3 win at Serpico earlier in the year.
Dylan Porter (3-2) tossed a complete-game four-hitter, surrendering just one unearned run in the bottom of the sixth. He walked one and struck out seven.
Jack Provine finished the day 3-for-4 while Joe Wendle went 2-for-5. Reid Pulford finished with a pair of RBI, despite not registering a base hit. He walked with the bases loaded in the first inning and then hit a sacrifice fly in the sixth.
West Chester will be back in action on Friday at East Stroudsburg for a PSAC East doubleheader.
