West Chester Ties ESU In Another Shortened Affair, 1-1

Box Score

EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa.
- West Chester University and East Stroudsburg played to a 1-1 double overtime tie Wednesday evening in a game that was halted with 5:05 remaining in the second OT due to lightning.

It marked the third time this year, in just five games overall, that West Chester's men's team has failed to go the full time length. The Golden Rams' season opener was suspended with five minutes left in the second half, after Lincoln's goalkeeper was injured. Last week's PSAC tilt against Lock Haven was also stopped with 3:26 left in the second half and the Bald Eagles up, 2-1.

Neil Gallagher scored the equalizer for West Chester (1-3-1, 0-2-1 PSAC) in the 59th minute. East Stroudsburg had taken a 1-0 lead with eight seconds left in the first half. The Rams outshot the Warriors, 23-16, for the game.

Kevin Marron (1-3-1) made six saves.
