WEST CHESTER, Pa. - Rondell White racked up 203 yards rushing and 299 all-purpose yards to lead West Chester to a 37-26 victory over visiting East Stroudsburg in a PSAC East football contest Saturday evening in front of 4,415 spectators inside John A. Farrell Stadium.
White, a local product from Rustin High School in West Chester, piled up 253 yards from scrimmage, including a 39-yard touchdown run in the third quarter. LaRonn Lee (Lancaster, Pa.) caught six passes for a career-high 115 yards to lead all receivers. West Chester QB Sean McCartney (Doylestown, Pa.) went 16 of 26 for 239 yards, including a TD toss to Sean Beahan. He did not throw an interception.
WCU place-kicker Shawn Leo (Souderton) was a perfect 3-for-3 on the day in field goal attempts.
NOTES: RB Rondell White's 299 all-purpose yards is the ninth-best single-game total in school history ... he came one yard shy of becoming just the ninth person to amass 300 all-purpose yards in a single game ... his 203 yards rushing were the most in a single game by a West Chester running back since D'Andre Webb set the school record with 306 yards rushing against Millersville in 2008 ... it marked the 18th time in school history that a running back went over 200 yards rushing in a contest ...
