COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. - West Chester University's women's gymnastics squad placed second out of five teams at Ursinus College Sunday afternoon, falling in behind only Division I Towson University.
West Chester scored a 185.200 as compared to Towson's 190.30. Host Ursinus was third with a 181.075 while Springfield College was fourth (177.750) and Wilson College was fifth (125.650).
The Golden Rams captured the balance beam event with a team score of 47.050. Amber Miller won that event with a score of 9.70. Teammate Kaley LaFleur was third on the beam with a 9.575.
Lindsey Britt placed fifth overall on the uneven bars with a score of 9.425. All four performers ahead of her were from Division I Towson.
West Chester returns home on Jan. 21 to face SUNY-Cortland.
