CALIFORNIA, Pa. – Freshman Corey Blake registered a double-double with 13 points and 13 rebounds, but his 3-pointer at the buzzer was off the mark as host California (Pa.) downed visiting West Chester, 61-58, Saturday evening inside the Convocation Center.
West Chester (6-6, 3-5 PSAC) led for all but the last 17 seconds of the game when Cal’s (8-6, 5-3) Keith Lowe hit a 3-pointer giving the hosts the win. The Golden Rams led by as many as 14 in the early stages of the second half. However, the Vulcans eventually cut the lead to one (55-54) with 3:53 to play.
