WEST CHESTER, Pa. - Philadelphia University scored a pair of second-half goals to come away with a 2-0 non-league men's soccer victory at John A. Farrell Stadium Thursday night.
West Chester (3-5-2) played to a scoreless tie at the half. However, PhilaU (5-3-4) broke through with a pair of goals six minutes apart midway through the frame to take the win.
Adam Miller finished a nice cross from Victor Chagonda in the 65th minute to break the deadlock. Then, Chagonda potted his third goal of the year off a flick header from Ryan Schroy about 10 yards out.
Freshman goalkeeper Ryan Schultz (0-1-0) suffered the loss in net. He played the second half. Senior Kevin Marron started the game and played the entire first half and made three saves.
PhilaU's Neil Kwiatkowski (5-2-3) got the win for the Rams. He made three saves.
West Chester hosts Nyack on Sunday at 1 p.m. That game was originally scheduled for Saturday, but was moved to Sunday earlier this week. That game will be played on the South Campus Soccer Field.
