Men's Soccer Falls In Double-Overtime, 3-2

Box Score
Box Score

WEST CHESTER, Pa.
- Marco Likos dribbled down the near side and into the penalty area 18 seconds into the second overtime period, letting a shot go along the ground that found the side panel netting on the far side for the game-winning goal in a 3-2 victory for Nyack College over host West Chester University Sunday afternoon.

West Chester (3-6-2) has now lost three in a row and four of its last five while Nyack improved to 5-5-1 with the non-league men's soccer victory on a cold and rainy Sunday matinee.

The Golden Rams took the lead twice on Sunday just to see the Warriors come back and tie things up within minutes after falling behind. Kevin McCann put the hosts on top in the 24th minute. However, Nyack stormed back 1:39 later to knot things at 1-1. That is the way things stood until the 70th minute when Alex Badulak scored his first college goal. However, 4:46 later, Likos scored the first of his two goals in the game to draw Nyack even once again.

That is the way regulation ended, and the two teams played a scoreless 10-minute OT period, before Nyack struck right away in the second session.

Garrett Bleiler (3-4-2) made three saves for West Chester while Curtis Julien made four for Nyack.

Roberto Silva and Cameron Scott picked up assists for the Golden Rams.

West Chester jumps back into PSAC play on Tuesday with a 1 p.m. contest against Slippery Rock on the South Campus pitch.
