WEST CHESTER, Pa. – Corey Blake scored a team-high 13 points and Tim Flecken and Ryan McKeaney each contributed 10 points apiece, but visiting Shaw came out on top, 63-55, in a non-conference men’s basketball game inside Hollinger Field House Sunday evening.
West Chester (0-2) dropped its second contest of the season. Though, the Golden Rams gave Shaw (1-2) everything it could handle. The Bears were ranked 20th in the preseason coaches’ poll and still was the top school receiving votes in the first regular-season poll.
Shaw’s Karron Johnson scored a game-high 17 points to pace the Bears.
West Chester will be back in action on Tuesday at Wilmington (Del.) for another non-league battle.
