ITHACA, N.Y. - West Chester University's women's gymnastics placed fourth overall at the Big Red Invitational held on the campus of Cornell University Saturday afternoon. The Golden Rams scored a 185.150 as a team.
Southern Connecticut State University won the invitational with the score of 190.050. Cornell was second with a 189.525 and Ithaca College was third with a 187.250.
Senior Allie Aquila notched her career-high on the vault by placing third overall with a 9.75. Freshman Stephanie Schuler tied for fifth on the vault with a 9.6 while finishing sixth on the uneven bars with a 9.425.
Kaley LaFleur led all Golden Rams on the balance beam, placing fourth overall with a 9.6. Schuler came in fifth with a 9.575, and Amber Miller was sixth with a 9.550.
West Chester travels to New Haven, Conn. next Sunday for a quad meet with host Southern Connecticut State, Rhode Island College and Springfield.
