WEST CHESTER, Pa. - West Chester University's women's tennis program defeated cross-county rival Cheyney University, 9-0, in a PSAC East women's tennis match on South Campus Tuesday afternoon.
West Chester (9-9, 3-3 PSAC East) concludes its conference slate for the season with a 3-3 record in the East.
The Golden Rams took all six singles matches by straight-set scores of 6-0, 6-0. Brittany Counts, Alex Santoro, Nikki Paller, Haley Wissinger, Rebecca Thiel and MacKenzie Breinlinger were the winners in that order. In doubles play, Counts and Ali Fetter teamed up a first doubles for an 8-0 win while Paller and Wissinger were 8-0 winners at second doubles and Thiel and Santoro were 8-0 winners at third doubles.
West Chester returns to action on Friday for a non-league match against Georgian Court at 3:30 p.m.
