West Chester Men Fall At Wilmington, 1-0

NEWARK, Del.
- Wilmington's goal in the 39th minute held up as host Wilmington (Del.) University scored a 1-0 victory over visiting West Chester in a non-league men's soccer match Tuesday afternoon.

West Chester (2-3-2) was held to just seven shots and Sr., Kevin Marron (0-1) made three saves in goal in his first start of the season. Zach Hinte got the only goal of the game on a one-timer from six yards out on a cross from Kresimir Nurnberger to lift Wilmington (3-6) to the win.

The Wildcats were held to just nine shots on the afternoon in a game played primarily in the midfield with neither side swinging any momentum their way.

Dan Venuto, Brett Snyder, Alex Badulak and Christian Benner each got off a shot on goal in the contest.

West Chester travels to Erie, Pa., on the weekend to take on the top two programs in the PSAC. The Golden Rams are at Mercyhurst on Friday at 1 p.m. and at Gannon on Saturday at 2 p.m.
