Golden Rams Win Sixth Straight 1-0 at Clarion

Box Score CLARION, Pa. – Lexi Brown scored after half-time to break a scoreless tie, for the second consecutive game, leading West Chester University to a 1-0 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference road victory over Clarion, Saturday afternoon at Memorial Stadium.

West Chester (7-3, 6-3 PSAC), has only given up one goal during its six game victory streak. Clarion (3-4-3, 3-4-3 PSAC) fell to under five hundred for the first time this year.

Lexi Lentz served a corner kick into the box that Lexi Brown headed into the back of the net for her third of the year, providing the lone goalin the 58th minute.

Brown, who had five shots on goal, also scored the winner in West Chester's 2-0 win over IUP on Wednesday.

Later in the contest, another Lentz corner was headed over the net by Carly Yost. The two had combined for an insurance goal during the victory over IUP

Alex Srolis faced only one shut in securing her fourth shutout in a row. West Chester directed 24 shots at the Clarion goal, keeper Laura Saussol kept the game close with 11 saves.

West Chester hosts Shippensburg for a PSAC match Tuesday at 1 p.m.
