The Golden Rams led for the entire first half and were clinging to a 38-33 advantage early in the second half, before the Fighting Scots busted out a 10-2 run. Darche' Jackson's 3-pointer gave Edinboro its first lead at 40-38 at the 17:35 mark.

West Chester would answer with a 14-0 run later in the half.  Trailing 54-49 with 12:51 remaining, WCU held Edinboro scoreless for the next 4 minutes and 25 seconds. Junior forward Kendall Benovy scored six points during the run.

Edinboro held a narrow 71-70 lead with 3:25 to go, but West Chester answered the bell one more time, holding the Scots scoreless over the next three minutes. West Chester would grab a 75-71 lead as Benovy hit a pair of free throws and sophomore guard Dallas Ely scored on a layup.

Freeland scored with 20 seconds to go to close the deficit to two points at 75-73. Ely made the first of two free throws to give West Chester a 76-73 lead. Jackson 3-point attempt for the Scots was blocked by Brittany Sicinski. Edinboro gathered in the rebound but Serifat Junaid would steal the ball to close out the win.

Ely finished with 19 points and nine rebounds. She also collected four assists and four steals. Sicinski added eight rebounds and six assists to her 24 points Saturday. Benovy finished with 18 points, 16 in the second half, while Anna Kuntz contributed 10 points and five boards.
