MILLERSVILLE, Pa. – Corey Blake was one of four players with 12 points to lead West Chester (15-6, 13-4 PSAC) to a 79-63 victory over host Millersville (15-8, 11-6) in a PSAC East men’s basketball contest inside Pucillo Gym Saturday afternoon.
Blake finished one rebound shy of a double-double, adding nine boards to his line on Saturday. Teammates Troy Hockaday, Shannon Givens and Jon Breeden all scored 12 points for the Golden Rams on Saturday as well.
West Chester shot 95 percent (20-for-21) from the free throw line in the game and got off 20 more shots that Millersville. The Golden Rams were 28 of 61 from the floor while the Marauders were 17 of 41.
The Golden Rams have taken over sole possession of second place in the Eastern Division standings of the PSAC. They are now two games ahead of Millersville while the two have split their season series. The top two teams in the Eastern Division receive a bye in the first round of the PSAC Tournament next month.
West Chester travels to Kutztown on Wednesday for a mid-week showdown with the Golden Bears.
