NEW HAVEN, Conn. - West Chester University's women's gymnastics squad finished fourth in a quad meet with Division I Ivy League opponents Brown and Cornell University, along with ECAC rival Southern Connecticut State University, on Sunday afternoon.
West Chester scored a 186.425 in the meet while Brown was the overall winner with a 192. Cornell was second with a 191.675 and Southern Conn. St. scored a 191.025.
Kaley LaFleur finished sixth on the balance beam with a score of 9.625. She was the highest individual finisher on Sunday. Her all-around score of 37.550 was good for third place in the meet as well.
Patty Konschak, Paige Griffin and Melissa Voskian each posted a 9.525 on the floor exercise. However, the vault was the Golden Rams' top apparatus of the day. Voskian scored a 9.6, and Melissa Prisco notched a 9.55 to lead the Rams, who scored a 47.475 as a team.
West Chester travels to Towson University next weekend for another quad meet with host Towson, George Washington and Southern Connecticut State.
