Quad Meet Results
WEST CHESTER, Pa. – West Chester University set a new season high overall score of 189.650 and tied the school record on the floor exercise, capturing its own quad meet, which included ECAC rival Southern Connecticut State, Saturday evening inside Sturzebecker HSC.
The Golden Rams’ 189.650 is the second time this season that they have reached a score of 189 or better and is a new season high. The Rams scored a 48.325 on the floor that tied the school record as well. Southern Connecticut State was second in the team scoring with a 187.425 while Springfield College was third (182.975) and Rhode Island College was fourth (166.650).
Kaley LaFleur won the all-around competition with a 37.95 in the four events. She won the beam with a score of 9.625, placed second in the vault with a 9.575 and tied for fourth on the floor with a 9.625.
West Chester took the top five spots on the beam with Lindsey Knapp finishing second behind LaFleur (9.575), Patti Konschak placing third (9.475) and Cassandra Ringer and Emily Siegel tieing for fourth with a 9.45.
The Golden Rams took second through fifth on the floor. Paige Griffin was runner-up with a 9.75 while Alyssa Hult was third (9.725) and LaFleur and Voskian tied for fourth with a 9.625.
Karen Laskaris won the uneven bars with a 9.6 to round out West Chester’s top performances Saturday evening.
The Golden Rams travel to New Haven, Conn., next Saturday for a quad meet at Southern Connecticut State University. Ivy Leaguer’s Brown University and Cornell University will also compete.
