SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. - West Chester University's women's tennis team defeated host Shippensburg, 9-0, on the road Tuesday afternoon.
West Chester (10-7, 2-1 PSAC East) swept the three doubles matches and then took all six singles competitions. Brittany Counts, Ali Fetter, Alex Santoro and Nicole Nardi were all double winners for the Golden Rams, who dropped just one game in the doubles with second and third scoring 8-0 wins.
All six singles sets were straight-set wins. West Chester players lost just four games in the entire singles competition with no set going more than 6-1.
