WEST CHESTER, Pa. – West Chester University swept both of its matches at the Ram Fest Women’s Volleyball Tournament inside Hollinger Field House Friday night. The Golden Rams topped both University of the Sciences and Glenville State by identical 3-0 scores.
West Chester (5-0) remained unbeaten on the young year with its pair of wins. The Golden Rams topped USciences by scores of 25-10, 25-17, 25-16 and dispatched Glenville State by scores of 25-16, 25-19 and 26-24.
Allison Grammer led West Chester with a total of 18 kills. She notched 10 against the Devils and eight more against Glenville State. Paige Thommes posted a game-high 14 kills against USciences. Annalee Halbert registered a total of 48 assists for the Golden Rams. She picked up 25 assists against USciences and 23 against Glenville State.
The Ram Fest Tournament concludes on Saturday with two more matches against Assumption and Stonehill. Games get under way at 10 a.m. on Saturday.
