BLOOMSBURG, Pa. - Andrew Peterson advanced to the second round of the 2013 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Men's Tennis Individual Championships. However, he was the lone winner on Saturday for the Golden Rams and bowed out of the championships in the second round.
Peterson defeated Millersville's Tucker Metz, 6-2, 6-2. However, third-seeded Jody Sambrick, also from Millersville, knocked Peterson out of the championships in the second round, 6-2, 6-1. Cody Leimback, West Chester's other singles participant, fell by a score of 6-0, 6-1 to Edinboro's Bruno Borja.
In doubles competition, Borja and teammate Brandon Romain from Edinboro, topped Patrick McGinley and Chaz Irwin, 8-2 in the first round.
