WEST CHESTER, Pa.- Despite several quality scoring chances for both teams, the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference battle could not be settled. West Chester and Bloomsburg played to a scoreless draw after two overtimes, on a sunny Saturday afternoon in West Chester.
The Golden Rams (2-2-2, 2-1-1 PSAC) extended their unbeaten streak to three. Bloomsburg (3-3-1, 2-3-1 PSAC, also coming off back to back wins, posted their third straight shutout.
Freshman Miguel Ross nearly ended the game in overtime on a header off of a Conor Malarney pass in the first overtime.
Ross also had semi-break away attempts in the first and second half with ball narrowly sliding by the near post on both occasions.
Ryan Shultz made eight stops in goal for West Chester, including a diving save early in the contest off a shot labeled for the bottom left hand corner. Bernie Roell made nine saves to notch his fourth shutout of the season.
