PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – Claire Uhle and Maddy Shaak teamed up for a win at first doubles, but visiting West Chester University dropped an 8-1 decision to host Chestnut Hill College in a non-league women's tennis match Friday afternoon.

West Chester (2-1) got a 9-7 win from Uhle and Shaak. However, it was the lone victory for the Golden Rams on Friday. Uhle and Abriana Nolan each stretched their singles matches to three sets at first and fourth singles, respectively, before eventually falling.

West Chester's match against Roberts Weseleyan on Saturday has already been cancelled due to the impending weather forecast. The two schools will try to make up that match in the spring. The Golden Rams will be back in action on Wednesday at 3 p.m. when they travel to Philadelphia University.
