West Chester Swept by Seton Hill, 3-0

CLARION, Pa.-  After losing to Clarion (3-1) earlier in the day, the West Chester Golden Rams were swept by the Seton Hill Griffins (3-0) to finish with a 1-3 PSAC West trip.

West Chester (12-10, 4-9 PSAC), unlike the first game, got off to a slow start ending the first set with a .083 hit percentage. Seton Hill (20-2, 11-2 PSAC West) took advantage and beat West Chester by the scores of 25-11, 25-18, and 25-21.

As the match went on, the Golden Rams started to get into a rhythm, but it was too late as the Griffins would not take their foot off the gas.

Marina Sharkey (Newtown Square, Pa. / Archbishop John Carroll) had 16 kills, two away from her season high, to lead the Golden Rams in the losing effort. 

Julia O' Brien (New Holland, Pa. / Garden Spot) added eight kills and two service aces, while Victoria Cruciani (Phoenixville, Pa. / Pope John Paul) added six kills, two blocks, and one dig.

Annalee Halbert (Port Murray, N.J. / West Morris Central) led the team with 29 assists and added five digs in the match.

The Golden Rams will make a pit stop home to face Holy Family College on October 14th at 7p.m., before they head on an eight-game road trip.
