WEST CHESTER , Pa. – It was Senior Day for the West Chester men's basketball squad, and the seniors dominated, scoring 44 of the teams' first 50 point, to lead the Golden Rams to a 74-60 PSAC East victory over Shippensburg Saturday afternoon inside Hollinger Field House.
The victory clinched a post-season berth for West Chester (17-7, 10-4 PSAC East), and sets up a battle for second place in the East on Wednesday night at Bloomsburg, who fell at No. 6 East Stroudsburg.
The Golden Rams bolted out to a 13- 4 lead and never trailed in the contest. All six Golden Rams playing in their last regular-season home game scored during the opening run.

Ryan McKeaney hit all six of his field goal attempts in scoring a career high 14 points and also grabbed seven boards.
R.J. Griffin nailed three from beyond the arc and matched McKeaney for team high scoring honors with 14.
Shannon Givens, also playing his final regular-season game at Hollinger Field House, added 13 points and eight rebounds,
Troy Hockaday, the only four-year letterwinner amongst the seniors, chipped in with 11 points to go with a team-high nine rebounds, seven steals, and tied Givens with four assists.

Tom Sharkey, who scored the first basket of the game, and
Rasheed Wilkins, who scored four points, were also recognized before the game.
The victory marked the ninth straight time the Golden Rams have defeated Shippensburg (2-21, 0-13 PSAC East), who was led by Abe Massaley with 20 points and Joe Lococo with18.
The Golden Rams quest for a first-round bye finishes with a pair of difficult road contests. On Wednesday, West Chester travels to Bloomsburg in a game that could decide second place, scheduled to start at 7:30 p.m. The Huskies captured the first contest between the two schools, 77-76.
After a week off, the Golden Rams end the regular season with a game at No. 6 East Stroudsburg on Feb.26.
