CENTERVILLE, Mass. –West Chester University gymnast
Majesta Valentine has been honored for the fourth time this season as a Corvias ECAC Conference Division II Women's Gymnastics award winner for the week ending on February 23, announced by the league office on Wednesday.
Fr. Majesta Valentine from Wilnington, De., was selected as Corvias ECAC Conference Division II Women's Gymnastics Rookie of the Week, for the third time this season. The rookie was chosen as Gymnast of the Week, last week, following her performance in which she scored a 38.425 all-around total. Valentine, who finished first in the vault with a career best score of 9.725, also placed first on the balance beam, recording a 9.725, and was first in the all-around with a 37.850.
West Chester dropped a dual meet with ECAC rival Southern Connecticut State University, 190.175-189.750 in the school's annual Unite For HER breast cancer awareness women's gymnastics meet inside the Philadelphia Convention Center Friday.
West Chester's gymnasts will be back in action on Feb. 28 at Springfield College.
