CENTERVILLE, Mass. –Three West Chester University gymnasts have been honored, for their performances at Division I Cornell University on Saturday, as Corvias ECAC Conference Division II Women's Gymnastics award winners for the week ending on March 16, announced by the league office on Wednesday.

Majesta Valentine from Wilmington, Del. was selected as Rookie of the Week, for the fifth time this season. Valentine finished the regular season with a 38.300, good enough for a second place finish in the all-around. She finished first on vault and balance beam, and tied for third on the floor exercise.
Valentine scored a 9.725 to capture the vault, was strong on the balance beam scoring a 9.7 for the victory, and finished third with a 9.7 on the floor exercise.

Emily Seigel from Reistertown, Md., was selected as the Coaches Choice award winner for the third time this season. Seigel finished up her final collegiate regular season in superb fashion, by scoring a 9.750 on the bars to finish third, Seigel also garnered a third place finish on the beam with a 9.550.

Paige Griffin from Philadelphia, Pa. was selected as the Specialist of the Week, her first recognition in 2014. Griffin had her season-high score of a 9.725 on the floor exercise and tied for second place in the event.Â
The Golden Rams dropped a dual meet with Division I Cornell University, 191.825-189.325 Saturday afternoon inside Schoellkopf Field.
West Chester will host, conference rivals Bridgeport and Southern Connecticut State, for the ECAC Championships on Saturday March 22 inside Sturzebecker HSC starting at 1 p.m.
