WEST CHESTER, Pa. - West Chester University shut out visiting Cheyney, 9-0, in a PSAC East women's tennis match on South Campus Courts Tuesday afternoon.
West Chester (5-9, 2-1 PSAC East) picked up all three wins in the doubles competition, and then proceeded to sweep the singles competition in straight-set, 6-0 scores, at each match. Jami Dumler, Nicole Nardi, Stephanie Cifelli, Julie McNabb, Catherine Bond and Amalia Hartman were the singles winners for the Golden Rams. Cheyney (0-7, 0-5) is still in search of its first win of the season.
Hartman and Bond teamed up at first doubles for an 8-1 win while Dumler and Nardi and Cifarelli and McNabb teamed up at second and third doubles, respectively, for a pair of 8-0 wins.
West Chester travels to Kutztown Wednesday for another conference tilt.
