Slippery Rock Sweeps West Chester Volleyball, 3-0

WEST CHESTER, Pa. – Cara Reese (Pittsburgh, Pa./Fox Chapel) and Victoria Cruciani (Phoenixville, Pa./Pope John Paul II) each posted eight kills, but visiting Slippery Rock swept host West Chester, 3-0, in a PSAC crossover contest inside Hollinger Field House Friday night.
 
Slippery Rock (8-2, 2-0 PSAC) upped its personal winning streak to five straight over West Chester (7-3, 0-2) with the win. The Golden Rams dropped both of their matches on the day.
 
Slippery Rock's .221 hitting percentage was by far the best effort by an opponent against West Chester this season. The Rock made just 12 hitting errors in the match. Meanwhile, the Golden Rams committed five reception errors and seven service errors in the loss.
 
Samanthan Agostini (Broomall, Pa./Cardinal O'Hara) finished with seven kills, as did Julia O'Brien (New Holland, Pa./Garden Spot).
 
Callie Krajcir (Allentown, Pa./Parkland) paced West Chester with 23 digs.
 
West Chester continues to host its PSAC East crossover Saturday when Gannon and Mercyhurst invade Hollinger at 10 a.m. and 6 p.m., respectively.
