West Chester Dances Past Cheyney, 95-62

WEST CHESTER, Pa. –  West Chester finished with four players scoring in double-figures to put the Cheyney Wolves away by a score of 95-62, inside Hollinger Field House Wednesday evening.
 
The Golden Rams (8-11, 6-7 PSAC) out-rebounded the Wolves, 57-28, for 17 second-chance points to win by their largest margin of the season. Cheyney (1-17, 0-13 PSAC) had no answer as West Chester's defense forced them into 19 turnovers, while stealing the ball away 14 times for easy points on the offensive end.
 
Jr, G Mike Wilson (Philadelphia, Pa./Martin Luther King) provided a long distance-threat off the bench, scoring a team-high 17 points, going 5-for-12 from beyond the arc. Teammate, Cory Blake (West Chester, Pa./Rustin) scored 14 of his 16 points in the first half to give the Golden Rams a 46-25 lead going into the half. He also grabbed nine rebounds to go with three assists and three steals in the win.
 
Raheem Hall (Ardmore, Pa./Lower Merion) chipped in with 12 points, five rebounds and four assists. Matt Wiseley (Emmaus, Pa./Emmaus) put up 10 points on 4-of-8 shooting from the field. He also provided seven rebounds and a season-high seven assists in the PSAC win.
 
Parrish Grant (Philadelphia, Pa./Imhotep Charter) and Ben Mingledough (Philadelphia, Pa./Archbishop Carroll) both contributed with nine points, combining for six rebounds and five steals. Mingledough exclamated his night with a flying one-handed dunk in the first half on a fast break. Thomas White (Chester, Pa./Penn Wood) finished with eight points and five rebounds to round out the game.
 
West Chester was down 10-7 early, but a 3-pointer from Wiseley tied it at 10 and set the Golden Rams on a 14-2 run, concluded by a pass from Hall to Mingledough for the one-handed jam causing the Wolves to call a timeout.
 
Cheyneys' Kevin Larkin led the team with 14 points and nine rebounds on the night. Jerrod Johnson scored 12 points while Rafig Marshall provided 10 points off the bench in the conference loss.
 
The Golden Rams will get set for a three-game road trip, starting with Mansfield on Saturday at 3 p.m. in their first meeting of the season.
