Rachal Toppi (Glassboro, N.J. / Glassboro) notched two second half goals from
Alexis Versak (Limerick, Pa. / Spring-Ford), to propel fourth ranked West Chester field hockey past Bloomsburg, 3-1 Saturday afternoon at Steph Pettit Stadium.
Spisak gave the Golden Rams(10-2, 3-2 PSAC) a 1-0 lead, when she dribbled through the middle of the Huskies defense and find the back of the net for her fifth of the season in the 33rd minute.
Toppi doubled the West Chester advantage when she potted her 11th goal of the season off a corner from Versak midway through the second half.
Bloomsburg (6-7, 2-3 PSAC) cut the deficit in half with goal with just under eleven minutes to play. Geneka Mahan netted her first of the year from the middle of the box with an assist from Tess Shelly.
Toppi tipped in a Versak blast with 2:20 remaining to provide the winning margin and give the Golden Rams its fourth straight victory.
Brianna Magner (Egg Harbor, N.J. / Egg Harbor Township) made two stops in goal for West Chester to push her record to 4-0 on the season. Lindsay Cassel registered eight saves in goal for Bloomsburg.
West Chester returns to action on Tuesday at 4 p.m. when it hosts PSAC rival Kutztown. The Golden Rams narrowly defeated the Golden Bears 1-0 at Kutztown on September 15.
