Box Score EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. – Jr., forward
Miguel Ross (Pottstown, Pa. / Pottstown) recorded a season high two goals to pull West Chester into a 2-2 tie with East Stroudsburg Tuesday evening.
The Golden Rams (5-5-3, 3-3-1) were able to put pressure on the Warriors defense by registering 12 corner kick opportunities compared to E. Stroudsburg's four, but could not capitalize. East Stroudsburg (5-7-1, 2-5-1) would take lead in the 84th minute of the second period, but could not hang on in the end.
Ross would help the Golden Rams jump out to a 1-0 in the fourth minute of the match for his first score. Then after the Warriors took a 2-1 lead late in the second period, Ross would register his second goal of the game in the 87th minute on an assist by teammate
Patrick Raykovitz (Langhorne, Pa. / Neshaminy) to send the game into overtime.
Sophomore goalkeeper
Matt Palmer (Bangor, Pa. / Bangor) played all 110 minutes in net allowing two goals, while making four saves in the tie.
Warriors' Casey Coffey and Austin Bogart each provided a goal to give their team chance to win.
West Chester will now get set to conclude their two-game road trip as they face off against Slippery Rock this Saturday at 12 p.m.
