Two Late Goals Down Golden Rams Men, 3-2

Box Score

WEST CHESTER, Pa. - West Chester's men's soccer squad allowed two goals four minutes apart in the final 15 minutes of the contest, falling to visiting Lock Haven, 3-2, at Rockwell Field Wednesday afternoon.

West Chester (5-7-3, 3-5-1 PSAC) fell out of a playoff spot as a result of the loss to Lock Haven (7-8-1, 6-3-0 PSAC) and into a tie for eighth place behind East Stroudsburg with just two games left in the regular season. The Golden Rams will need a road win over Bloomsburg, who is in a playoff position, and a win at home on Halloween over Seton Hill to better its chances and climb back into playoff contention.

Kody Eberly (Mountville, Pa./Hempfield) scored his second goal in as many games just four minutes into the contest to put West Chester on top, 1-0. However, Lock Haven responded with a goal of its own two minutes later to knot the score. Miguel Ross (Pottstown, Pa./Pottstown) restored the hosts' lead early in the second half in the 53rd minute. However, the Bald Eagles came storming back with a marker in the 76th minute to tie the game and another in the 80th minute to push the visitors ahead for good, 3-2.

Lock Haven's Troy Armspacher scored twice, including the game-winner, for his seventh and eighth goals on the year.

West Chester goalkeeper Matt Palmer (Bangor, Pa./Bangor) made one save in a losing effort. Loick Haven's Troy Teresak made four saves for the visitors.

West Chester travels to Bloomsburg on Saturday for a 2:30 p.m. start against the Huskies.
