Matt Penecale (Jenkintown, Pa./Abington) posted eight assists as visiting West Chester remained unbeaten on the year with an 83-68 victory over host Shippensburg inside Heiges Field House Tuesday evening.

West Chester (6-0, 4-0 PSAC), who has been listed as among others receiving votes in each of the past two NABC national polls, ran its season-opening winning streak to six straight with the win. Shippensburg (4-3, 1-3) has dropped two of its last three.

Each side shot 43.1 percent from the field in the game. However, West Chester knocked down 48 percent from behind the 3-point arc (12-for-25) en route to the win. The Golden Rams scored 22 points off 15 Raiders turnovers in the game.

Five players in all scored in double figures for West Chester Tuesday evening. Spreading the wealth offensive were
Avery Brown (Mount Laurel, N.J./Lenape) with 14, and both
Matt Wiseley (Emmaus, Pa./Emmaus) and
Jackson Hyland (Avondale, Pa./Kennett) with 12.
Mike Wilson (Philadelphia, Pa./MLK) had 10.
