PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – West Chester University's women's gymnastics squad swept a tri-meet with Southern Connecticut State University and Ursinus College Friday evening as part of the "Pink Invitational" at the Philadelphia Convention Center.

Majesta Valentine (Wilmington, Del.) scored a 38.775 on the all-around, tying her own school record in that event and copping scores above 9.7 in three of the four events. She posted a 9.775 on both the vault and the floor exercise while posting a 9.7 on the balance beam. She picked up a 9.525 on the uneven bars.

Selena Swanger (Gettysburg, Pa.) registered a 37.425 in the all-around competition. Her best score of the night was a 9.575 on the balance beam.
Samantha Engle (Beaver Falls, Pa.) scored a 9.6 on the vault to place second behind Valentine.

Cassandra Ringer (Beaver, Pa.) scored a 9.6 on the balance beam to place second overall to teammate Valentine.
Alyssa Hult (Fremont, N.H.) equaled Valentine's 9.525 on the bars as well.

West Chester (8-8) returns to action on March 7 when it travels to Rutgers for a tri-meet against the Scarlet Knights and Bowling Green.
