Box Score 2 WEST CHESTER, Pa. – West Chester scored seven runs in the first two innings of game one and held on in the bottom of the seventh for a 10-8 win, before Kutztown knocked off the Golden Rams, 9-5, in the nightcap of a PSAC baseball doubleheader at Serpico Stadium Tuesday.

West Chester (7-6, 5-3 PSAC East) saw its four-game winning streak come to a close against Kutztown (10-6, 2-6), but still took the season series 3 games to 1.

Robert Knox was 2-for-4 with four RBI in the opener while Matt Petrizzi went 3-for-4 with three runs scored and a pair of RBI. Clay Harwick was 2-for-4 with a RBI as well.

Andrew Gerner (1-1) threw the first four innings, giving up only two unearned runs on three hits while walking two and striking out four to earn the win in game one.

Trailing 10-3 entering the bottom of the seventh inning, Kutztown plated five runs to draw within two, before West Chester reliever Mike O'Neill finally got out of the inning and ended the game.

In the nightcap, Kutztown scored six runs in the bottom of the fifth to stretch a 3-2 lead to 9-2 en route to the win. Petrizzi was 2-for-4 with three RBI and a pair of runs scored. He also threw the final 4.1 innings on the mound, surrendering nine runs, though only four of them were earned, on 10 hits. Petrizzi was 5-for-8 with five RBI and five runs scored combined in the twinbill.
