WEST CHESTER, Pa. – Alyssa Rees picked up a 6-2, 6-0 win at sixth singles to clinch an 8-1 victory for West Chester over visiting Bloomsburg in a PSAC East women's tennis match Friday afternoon.

West Chester (5-6, 2-0 PSAC East) remains unbeaten in league play with the win.

The Golden Rams opened the match by sweeping the doubles competition to carry a 3-0 lead into singles play. Claire Uhle notched a quick win at first singles (6-0, 6-1), before Rees locked up the match with her win.

Maddy Shaak was a straight-set 6-1, 6-0 winner at second singles while Abriana Nolan was a 6-1, 6-2 winner at third singles. Cassidy Branigan was a 6-3, 6-4 winner at fifth singles.

Uhle and Shaak posted an 8-2 win at first doubles, Nicole Fahringer and Rees were 9-7 winners at second doubles and Nolan and Amalie Hartman were 9-7 winners at third doubles.

West Chester hosts Kutztown on Sunday in another PSAC East match at 1 p.m.
