PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – West Chester University's women's tennis squad went on the road Thursday and came away with a 7-2 victory over Holy Family.

West Chester (8-6) swept the doubles competition and then took four of the six singles matches to pick up the non-conference win. Along the way, Claire Uhle and Maddy Shaak increased their doubles winning streak to 14 straight while Uhle picked up win No. 17 in singles play.

Uhle downed her opponent, 6-3, 6-1 at first singles. Shaak was also a singles winner at No. 2 (6-3, 6-3). Cassidy Branigan won at fourth singles, and Kristen Wong won at sixth singles.

Uhle and Shaak were 8-5 winners at first doubles. Nicole Fahringer and Alyssa Rees were 8-5 winners at second doubles while Abriana Nolan and Amalia Hartman were 8-1 winners at third doubles.

West Chester will take on Cheyney University at home on Monday at 4 p.m.
