Box Score ERIE, Pa. – Joseph Korb knocked in a rebound in the 102nd minute to lift host Mercyhurst to a 3-2 double-overtime victory at the MU Soccer Complex Friday afternoon.

West Chester (1-2, 0-1 PSAC) battled back from two deficits in the game to knot things up by the end of regulation. However, Mercyhurst (1-2, 1-0) was able to take advantage in the OT to come out with a win.

Brian Schaefer (Dresher, Pa./Upper Dublin) scored his first goal of the year on a penalty kick in the 29th minute to tie things up at 1-1 in the first half. Mercyhurst's Michael Lennox's header in the 19th minute had put the hosts up 1-0.

The Lakers' Thomas Davis restored the host's one-goal lead in the 37th minute, before
Kody Eberly (Mountville, Pa./Hempfield) scored his first career goal 37 seconds before halftime. That is the way the game stood for the next 57 minutes when Korb buried a rebound of a shot by Thom Derks in the second overtime.

Matt Palmer (Bangor, Pa./Bangor) made seven saves, going the distance in the net. Schaefer picked up an assist on Eberly's goal to finish the afternoon with three points.
