Avery Brown (Mount Laurel, N.J./Lenape) tied a career high with 22 to lead visiting West Chester to a 90-68 win over host Mansfield inside Decker Gym Saturday afternoon.

West Chester (14-2, 10-2 PSAC) is off to its best start since 1998-99 with the win over Mansfield (3-14, 1-11). The Golden Rams' 14-2 mark matches that of the 1998-99 team that went 23-6 under Dick DeLaney for the best start to a season after 16 games. That year, the Rams lost their 17th contest of the season. Next up on the list would be Emil Messikomer's 1949-50 squad that finished the campaign at 17-2.

Brown led four Golden Rams in double figures. West Chester outscored Mansfield 45-28 in the second half to walk away with the win, following a 45-40 contest at the break. The Rams were 27 of 36 from the free throw line in the win.

Malik Jackson (Lansdowne, Pa./Penn Wood) and
Matt Wiseley (Emmaus, Pa./Emmaus) each added 13 points (9 in the second half for Wiseley) while
Matt Penecale (Jenkintown, Pa./Abington) contributed 12 for the game.
