Box Score

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – Malik Jackson (Lansdowne, Pa./Penn Wood) scored 22 points, and Matt Wiseley (Emmaus, Pa./Emmaus) grabbed a career-high 24 rebounds as visiting West Chester defeated host Lock Haven, 78-74, inside Thomas Fieldhouse Saturday night.

No. 20 West Chester (16-2, 12-2 PSAC) won its fourth straight contest to remain in first place in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Eastern Division standings with the win over Lock Haven (10-9, 6-9). Additionally, the Golden Rams remained unbeaten on the road at 8-0.

West Chester's defense limited Lock Haven to just a 34.9 percent effort from the field while outrebounding the Bald Eagles by a 51-31 margin.

Wiseley and Jackson were two of four Golden Rams in double figures. Wiseley finished with 12 points to polish off his eighth double-double of the year. Avery Brown (Mount Laurel, N.J./Lenape) scored 14 while Matt Penecale (Jenkintown, Pa./Abington) posted 12.

West Chester returns home to Hollinger Field House Wednesday evening for a 7:30 p.m. contest against PSAC East rival Kutztown. That game can be heard online at www.wche1520.com and seen live via video web stream by the Sports Fan Base Network (SFBN).

NOTES: West Chester leads the all-time series against Lock Haven, 34-9 … Wiseley's career rebounding day comes on the heels of a 21-rebound effort against Lock Haven earlier this year – giving him 45 rebounds in two games against Lock Haven this year … only Wiseley and former Golden Ram Lenwood Greenwood have grabbed 20 rebounds in a game since the 1999-2000 campaign.
