Box Score CALIFORNIA, Pa. –
Brittany Sicinski (Downingtown, Pa./Downingtown West) tied a career high with 27 points, but it was not enough as West Chester dropped a 79-73 overtime decision to host California (Pa.) inside the Convocation Center Wednesday evening.
Â
West Chester (8-5, 5-4 PSAC) forced the overtime period with a frantic 22-7 run in the fourth quarter that erased a 15-point deficit. The Golden Rams held a three-point lead (65-62) late. However, Cal (9-3, 7-2) got a 3-pointer from Miki Glenn with 6.9 seconds remaining in regulation to send the game into OT.
Â
The Vulcans outscored the Golden Rams, 14-8, over the 5-minute extra session to move to 21-3 all-time against West Chester. The visitors still forced the overtime despite a dismal 1-for-14 effort from 3-point range.
Â
Dallas Ely (Montrose, Pa./Montrose) scored 15 points on the night and was the only other Golden Rams player in double figures.
Anna Kuntz (Camp Hill, Pa./Trinity) led West Chester with 11 rebounds.
Â
Ironically, Sicinski has scored 27 points in a game three times now in her four-year career. Two of those three opponents have been the Cal Vulcans. Sicinski put up 27 against the Vulcans in 2013 and also posted 27 against USciences a year ago.
Â
Cal's Seairra Barrett registered a double-double with 21 points and 17 rebounds. Glenn had 18 points and 12 caroms. Shatara Parsons recorded 15 points and 13 rebounds.
