West Chester Sweeps Slippery Rock, 3-0

WEST CHESTER, Pa. – Karleigh Lutz (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Cumberland Valley) posted 11 kills, and Allie Duffy (Carlisle, Pa./Carlisle) registered 10, to lead host West Chester to a 3-0 sweep of PSAC rival Slippery Rock inside Hollinger Field House Friday evening.
 
West Chester (18-7, 6-6 PSAC) pulled even in conference play with the win over Slippery Rock (9-16, 2-10), maintaining its lead in the Southeast Division with a 25-16, 25-15 and 25-10 victory.
 
The Golden Rams sported a .321 hitting percentage in the win, limiting The Rock to a .000 percentage, including a negative number in two of the three sets. West Chester made just one hitting error in the final set, posting a .433 percentage.
 
Jillian Grammer (Center Valley, Pa./Southern Lehigh) recorded 37 of the team's 45 assists while completing her 16th double-double on the year with 10 digs. Nicki Yates (Coopersburg, Pa./Southern Lehigh) led the Golden Rams with 22 digs.
 
Peighton Wright (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Cumberland Valley) and Abbie Dischert (Wilmington, Del./Concord) each contributed eight kills as well in the win.
 
West Chester hosts Edinboro Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m. inside Hollinger Field House.
