SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – Slippery Rock's Merdic Green tipped in a missed jumper from Khyree Wooten with one second left in the game to lift host The Rock to a 71-69 victory over visiting West Chester inside Morrow Field House Saturday afternoon.

West Chester (3-4, 2-1 PSAC) suffered its first conference setback on the year while Slippery Rock (4-4, 1-2) picked up its first PSAC win.

Malik Jackson (Lansdowne, Pa./Penn Wood) led the Golden Rams with 19 points while
Matt Penecale (Jenkintown, Pa./Abington) added 14.

A 3-pointer by Jackson midway through the second half gave West Chester its largest lead of the game at 11 (55-44). However, the hosts outscored their guests 27-14 the rest of the way to secure the win. It still took a tip-in at the horn to overcome the Golden Rams.

Ryan Skrovenko (Pittsburgh, Pa./Lincoln Park Charter) scored nine points, all in the second half, and grabbed seven rebounds, playing his first game out in the western part of the state near his hometown.
Thomas White (Chester, Pa./Ridley) scored six points and grabbed seven rebounds off the bench.
